Tournament Divisions

Eight Great Divisions make the Grand Lagoon National "America's Saltwater Fishing Tournament."

This is the tournament that lets you fish the way you want to fish for the kind of fish you want to catch. Your style says it all - from Blue Marlin to Flounder. The thrill of the hunt and the money at stake are more than tempting in every Division. Be sure to check the Division Rules for complete details.

Division: Big Game

Eligible Fish: By Weight - Blue Marlin, Swordfish, Wahoo and Tuna
Boat Registration Fee (includes sales tax): $2,560.00 (includes sales tax)
Angler Fee and Crew Fee (includes sales tax):
Additional Angler - $100.00
Additional Crew - $50.00
Fishing Days: October 3 and 4, 2008.

Division: Charter Boat
(Must be an approved Charter Boat with applicable licenses)

Eligible Fish: Wahoo, Snapper (other than Red Snapper), Grouper, Amberjack and King Mackerel
Boat Registration Fee (includes sales tax): A one-time fee $200 per Boat
Angler Fee and Crew Fee (includes sales tax): Minimum Fee - four anglers per day $100 per Angler. Fishing Days: October 4 and 5, 2008.
Other: One time charge of $50 per Jr. Angler.

Division: Offshore

Eligible Fish: Wahoo, Snapper (other than Red Snapper), Grouper, Amberjack and King Mackerel
Boat Registration Fee (includes sales tax): $1,060 (including sales tax) Includes 4 Anglers and 2 Crew
Angler Fee and Crew Fee (includes sales tax): Additional Angler, Junior Angler or Crew: $50
Fishing Days: October 4 and 5, 2008.
Rules: Offshore Rules

Eligible Fish: Snapper (other than Red Snapper), Grouper, Amberjack, King Mackerel
Boat Registration Fee (includes sales tax): $530.00 Includes fees for two anglers.
Angler Fee and Crew Fee (includes sales tax): Additional Angler Fee $50 per Angler, $30 per Junior Angler
Fishing Days: October 4 and 5, 2008.
Other: Restricted to Boats of 32 ft. in length or less.

Eligible Fish: Trout, Flounder and Redfish
Boat Registration Fee (includes sales tax): $265.00
Angler Fee and Crew Fee (includes sales tax): $50 per Angler, $30 per Junior Angler

Division: Party Boat

Eligible Fish: Gag or Black grouper, Red Grouper, Vermillion Snapper, Trigger Fish and Amberjack
Boat Registration Fee (includes sales tax): $106.00
Fishing Days: October 4 and 5, 2008.
Other: Registration does not include Party Boat fare.

Bring the Kids!

The Grand Lagoon National is a family affair. There is no need to leave the kids home while you go fishing. Special Junior Angler competitions are included in the following divisions:

Offshore
Inshore
Flats
Party Boats

All registered anglers under fifteen years of age will receive recognition for their participation and special prizes will be awarded to those who bring a prize catch to the weigh-in dock. Additional information on activities for Junior Anglers and other family members will be posted at this site in June.
